Gannett to purchase Journal Media Group for $280 million

In an announcement on Wednesday evening, the officials of Gannett Co., the owner of USA TODAY and media businesses in 92 local markets, have agreed to acquire newspaper company Journal Media Group for $280 million. Under this deal, the media company will get the control of publications in over 100 local markets in the United States.
