EPA to Increase Spot Checks on Light-Duty Cars and Trucks

Since after the roll out of Volkswagen AG’s massive diesel-testing scandal, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said it will test vehicles owned by individuals and rental companies in real-world driving conditions. The company said that it could take cars from manufacturers’ assembly lines also and can do spot checks of light-duty cars and trucks.

Aerojet makes $2 billion offer for Boeing-Lockheed joint venture, say Sources

People familiar with Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings Inc. said that the company has made a $2 billion offer for United Launch Alliance, the Boeing Co.-Lockheed Martin Corp. joint venture that is the supplier of defense launches for the US government. According to them, talks are going on between the companies and they haven't reached to any deal yet.
