Singer Gwen Stefani took her fans to surprise by spontaneously including a personal new song into her Saturday night concert. The song conveyed her sad state of mind following her recent breakup with husband Gavin Rossdale.
She was performing at a concert in New York City, wherein she surprisingly made a performance on a new song titled ‘Used to Love You’. She split with her husband about two months ago. The separation gathered too much publicity digging too deep into the personal life of the singer.
The 46-year-old singer’s splitting news came to the fore recently. Stefani and Rossdale, lead singer of English rock band Bush, made their splitting public in August this year. They had a marital tie of 13 years. The duo, however, said that they had differences that could not be resolved anymore.
The couple met and fell in love in 1995. They have three sons.
"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment," they stated.
Sources revealed that Stefani had complaints of deceit and cheating against her husband. She tried not to hamper her career because of the personal issues and continued her singing. Apart from her singing assignments, Stefani continues to judge the singing competition, ‘The Voice’.
Stefani and Rossdale got married in 2002.
