Janet Jackson didn’t sing for fans last weekend. In a recent tweet, the performer has shared that she was on vocal rest. She wrote, ‘Hey you guys, I must rest my vocal chords. Doctor's orders.’ She also wrote that she has to miss her scheduled shows on Saturday in Salt Lake City and Sunday in Denver. The rescheduled dates of the tour dates have not been revealed yet.
Jackson is amid her Unbreakable World Tour. The tour has stopped in the US, the UK and Japan through next summer.
Since making her long-awaited return to the music scene, the singer has had quite the busy schedule. She got an unbreakable shot to number one on the charts and that too not much long after Ms. Jackson’s nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The worldwide tour kicked off in August in Vancouver, BC, with an end date of November 12 in Honolulu, Hawaii. No announcement has been made about make-up dates, but the tour’s second leg is scheduled to start in January 2016, while a third leg will begin in May 2016. Jackson will resume performing on October 27th at Kansas City’s Sprint Center.
This was not the first bump in the road for the tour. According to Rolling Stone reports, fans were a bit annoyed when their Instagram accounts were suspended or their concert footage was removed after a ‘third party reported that the content was violating their copyright’.
