Richard Bachman stops all 28 shots; Barons defeat Rochester Americans

The Oklahoma City Barons scored a 2-0 victory over the Rochester Americans Saturday night at Blue Cross Arena, partly thanks to goalkeeper Richard Bachman who stopped all of the 28 shots that he faced in the net.

It was the 13th in six American Hockey League season, and second shutout of the season for Barons. David Musil scored a goal and had an assist for the Barons.

It was Musil's first goal in this season. It broke a scoreless tie at 11:57 of the second period of the game when the team's defense man got pass from Ryan Hamilton in the high Rochester slot and sent a wrist shot past Rochester Americans' goalie Matt Hackett.

The second goal for Barons was scored by Josh Winquist. This goal was his fourth goal of the season. He scored it by flipping a rebounded shot from Musil past Hackett.

With his only goal in the game, Winquist's personal point streak extended to five games. With an assist on the goal, Musil gathered the first multi-point game of his American Hockey League career.

Jujhar Khaira assisted on both goals for the Oklahoma City Barons, who lead the league's Western Conference at 25-8-2-2.

It was the Barons' second major victory within the past week. On Friday night, the team scored a 5-4 victory against the Adirondack Flames.
