Industry Week editor-in-chief and MPI Group CEO John Brandt will be the guest speaker at the Albany Chamber of Commerce's upcoming annual meeting, the chamber has announced.
The chamber's this year's annual dinner and meeting program is scheduled to take place on January 29 at the Hilton Garden Inn Conference Center in downtown Albany.
Brandt has addressed a number of tech giants like Microsoft, SAP, IBM and Ernst & Young, using a blend of humor and joviality with in detail management theory, strong experience and unmatched research & analysis resources. Brandt shares his views on a broad range of topics, including economic outlook, leadership during economic adversity, and next-generation management.
Chris Hardy, executive director at the Albany Chamber of Commerce, said, "As our signature event we want to present those that attend with a good program that is worthwhile and entertaining. Mr. Brandt presentation will focus on leadership, which is an important initiative for the chamber."
Mr. Hardy added that the annual dinner provided members with an opportunity to see the recognition of individuals who are key contributors to the chamber and the community.
Besides Brandt's address, the annual meeting will feature the presentation of three chamber awards: the Ambassador of the Year, the Lifetime Service Award, and the Non Profit of the Year. Last year, these prestigious awards were bagged by Michael Fowler, Emily Jean McAfee, and the Junior League of Albany, respectively.
