The authors of the Nuffield Trust report undertook a study to assess the extent of alcohol related hospital admissions in England. The study also included the impact of demographic, socio-economic and regional factors on these numbers. The study revealed that the hospital admissions particularly due to alcohol were up by 63.6% during the period 2005-6 and 2013-14.
According to a latest study, middle-aged women suffering from gum disease are a bit more vulnerable of developing breast cancer than those without gum problems. Reuters reported that the risk was more probable for women suffering from gum disease, who smoked cigarettes or had left the habit in past 20 years.
